Our speaker next Monday, 17th June at 7.30pm, in the Village Hall is Wendy Martin. She will give a talk intriguingly titled ‘Gorillas and Tree Climbing Lions’.
Former educator Wendy is well travelled, particularly across Africa, and this talk features the fascinating wildlife of Uganda, including a trek through the rainforest to find a family of gorillas.
This trip was part of her work for Send A Cow, a charity recently rebranded as Ripple Effect, focused on building sustainable livelihoods for communities in eastern Africa, to which her speaker fee will be donated.
Ripple Effect:-
The farmers we work with learn more, grow more and sell more. For every family we work alongside, three more families benefit. This is the ripple effect
