At this season of Remembrance, come and hear the story of Nurses and Surgeons who served on the front line in the Great War.
Our November meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Monday next week (21st) in the Village Hall.
Our speakers, David Bardell and Mick Byrne, will tell the compelling stories of a number of these Heroines and Heroes, such as Edith Cavell, Nellie Spindler, Noel Chavasse and John McCrae.
They will talk about the QAIMNS, VAD and FANY nurses. Also, they will illustrate how pioneering the treatments and procedures developed by these extraordinary individuals, had such a dramatic influence on today’s medical profession.
