Are you interested in your family history or who lived in your house in 1921 [if it’s that old!]. Solihull residents can access the 1921 census free across all Solihull libraries from Tuesday 1 November 2022.
Taken on the night of 19 June 1921, the census contains information on close to 38 million people from 8.5 million households in England and Wales.
Residents who are not already library members can sign up at their local library free – only proof of name and address are required. Solihull Libraries cardholders are entitled to three hours free PC use per day, which includes full access to the 1921 census. Those planning to use their own laptops or mobile devices can connect to the free library Wi-Fi and likewise have unlimited access to the census.
