INTERCEPTOR – FIGHTER AIRCRAFT OF WW2 : Possibly including the Spitfire?

  • Talks

At this season of Remembrance, our speaker next Monday turns the spotlight onto the heroics of Battle of Britain and the classic fighter planes that engaged in it, especially ‘the sleek, elegant Spitfire’.
Almost 12,000 Spitfires were built at Castle Bromwich between 1939 and 1945, during which time the performance of aircraft literally doubled, but how were these dramatic advances achieved?
Military History buff, Tim Barney, will talk on ‘Interceptor – The Development of Fighter Aircraft in World War Two’ at Knowle Village Hall.

Next Monday, 20 November, at 7.30pm.

All are welcome.
