The direct debit application is administered by the Charities Aid Foundation.
The first page offers the choice to highlight a £5 donation – for single persons, a £7 donation for a household of more than one person or a custom amount if you would like to donate an amount greater than £7. You cannot change the frequency from yearly, as this is the only option. Please tick the Gift aid box if you are a UK taxpayer and would like HMRC to add a further 25% of your donation to your subscription, at no further cost to yourself.

The second page asks for your name and address details. Entering your postcode will bring up a list of valid addresses.

On page three you need to enter your bank details. There is a choice of payment day for the 1st or the 15th of the month. Note that payment will be taken a few days after this application is completed and cannot be postdated. Therefore, you should wait until the month before your membership is due to renew before completing the application.

At the bottom of the page is s security code prompt. You need to enter the figures that are partially obscured in the box as shown in this example. If you have difficulty seeing the code, press the the little two arrow icon to change to another code.

Finally, page four confirms your successful completion of the direct debit process. An acknowledgment will be sent to your email address, and a copy to the Society’s membership secretary.
