An amusing talk entitled ‘Constabulary Tales’ awaits next Monday 20th March at 7.30pm in the Village Hall as our first Speaker Evening of the year turns the spotlight on life in the Police force. One time village copper in Henley-in-Arden, Alan Benjamin, will share with us a humorous look at his experiences of life in a bobby’s uniform, having set out on the beat as a constable in the era of reminiscent of Z Cars and expert training in the deployment of the truncheon. Come and join us for what, as reported from other Societies to have hosted Alan, promises to be a seriously rib-tickling hour. All welcome.
