The major works on the pond have now been completed. It might still look rather murky, which is to be expected after way the bottom was stirred up. We are assured that it will gradually clear, helped by the planting of marginal and floating plants over the next few months. The bundles of sticks on the far side will help to filter water coming down the bank, to reduce the amount of silt entering the pond and keeping it clear.
The ducks are already very happy, I saw one taking nesting material into the duck house yesterday!
