The Forum and the Society have both objected to the application to demolish the garden centre and replace it with a large development consisting of an:-
“extra care facility comprising: a village care centre; 39 No. one and two bedroom care suites; 46 No. one and two bedroom care apartments; and associated works,”

The Society’s objection followed similar lines:- the impact on the Green Belt; the lack of need considering the large number of similar facilities already in the area; and the impact of the additional traffic generated.
