Many local people are doing what they can to help the NHS by making protective equipment and supplying food and treats, but conversation with the Solihull Hospital Charity (part of the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity Group) has highlighted gaps that need filling urgently. Prevented by our Constitution from making a direct donation from the Society’s funds, the Trustees of the Society have teamed up with the UHB Charity Group to launch an appeal to everyone in B93 to join with us in donating as much as you feel able via a ‘JustGiving’ site.
Funds are needed for items that are not provided by the NHS including comfortable chairs for hard working frontline staff needing a break, and bereavement boxes to comfort families in their time of loss.
Let’s make sure the amount collected reflects how much we appreciate the care that is being provided and do Knowle and the Society proud.
