Great Big Green Week is a National Event that takes place from 7th – 15th June and Knowle has been involved since the start. Now in its 5th year, Knowle Parish Church are holding their popular Green Fair on Tuesday 10th June 7 – 9pm in St. John’s Hall. This free drop-in event is a relaxed and easy way to find out more about simple environmental swaps, initiatives and opportunities. Exhibitors include Solihull Council, home energy advisors, gardening, food, health, repairing initiatives as well as local eco volunteering opportunities. On Saturday 14th June 2 – 4.30pm we have our first ever Great Big Village Clean. Organised by Knowle Parish Church and Knowle Society with support from other local village groups including Visit Knowle and Solihull Council, this giant litter pick and village clean is a wonderful way to come together to look after our village. Everyone is welcome and the meeting point is at The Guild House next to Knowle Parish Church. Please do bring a litter picker if you have one and gloves. Look out for posters advertising the event around the village designed by the children at Knowle Primary Academy.
