KNOWLE EVENTS FOR THE BIG GREEN WEEK

Working Together for a Greener Knowle
During the next two weeks there are lots of green events and activities to get involved with. Do come and join in.

Tuesday June 10th 7-9pm in St John Hall – Knowle Parish Church are holding their annual Green Fair. This drop in event is a relaxed and easy way to find out more about environmental swops, initiatives and opportunities. Exhibitors include Solihull Council, home energy advisors, gardening, food, health, repairing initiatives, the Knowle Society Environment Team, Warwickshire Wildlife as well as local eco volunteering opportunities.

Saturday 14th June between 2 – 4.30pm- Our First Great Big Village Clean. Organised by Knowle Parish Church and Knowle Society with support from other village groups. This giant litter pick and village clean is a wonderful way for you to help care for our village, even an hour will make a real difference. All welcome and the starting point is the Guild House near the church. Refreshments are available during the event.

Sunday June 15th Green Walk 2pm – While Knowle is fortunate in having many green areas, the small village of Temple Balsall, 2 miles from Knowle, on the road to Balsall Common, has the benefit of a variety of woodlands, some planted and some natural.  Come along and join us in a stroll around the different woodlands.
Meet up in the large car park on Fen End Road West at Temple Balsall [ready for whatever weather].  The car park is on the right, 300 yds from the junction.

Monday June 16th 7.30pm- Talk in the Village Hall. Come and meet Nick Martin and find out more about Local Nature Reserves, Meadows and Swifts. All passions of Nick, a local resident, in his work with the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust and as a member of the RSPB.
