750 Years of Knowle:- Gala Dinner organised by ‘VISIT KNOWLE’

This summer, we’re marking a remarkable milestone – 750 years since Knowle became a manor – and we’d love you to join us for a special gala dinner to celebrate on Friday 19th June at Arden Academy.

It’s going to be a wonderful evening of community, celebration, and great company with cabaret-style entertainment from the talented vocalist and pianist Anna Higgins and the super Knowle Musical Society.

The evening includes a three-course meal from local award-winning caterers Gourmet Foods, a raffle in aid of a new “Welcome to Knowle” sign, and the chance to meet and mingle with fellow members of the community.
All profits go towards local projects that benefit the village.
Dress code is black tie optional – so and come along and get ready to celebrate.

AVOIDING ON-LINE SCAM ATTEMPTS

One of our Members has reported a recent attempt to obtain financial information from them. She received a telephone call (supposedly from BT) saying that they were investigating her high telephone bills.  It was followed by instructions to press various keys and numbers, each time checking the results and saying how well they were doing.  In the process he obtained confidential information until the Member became suspicious and decided to check with BT, which the caller resisted – a warning note, that.
