Now a more cheerful item:-
It is not possible to stage the usual lighting up event this year but local groups are working together to try something equally festive.

We’re delighted to invite residents, from the comfort of their own home to “Light Up Knowle” by synchronising switching on their Christmas lights at home at 5pm on Sunday 29th November.

At 4.55 a video will be streamed (via Facebook) live from the North Pole, where Father Christmas (and possibly a couple of elves) will chat to a member of Knowle Church before leading us countdown via Facebook for residents to then turn on their lights. Who knows, maybe we’ll still have a joke or two. [The link to the video will be issued once we’ve sorted it out!]

Residents will also be invited to view an online map which will show which streets in Knowle have been lit up by residents. Knowle School Parents Association have kindly offered to build the map, in return for a small donation.

Knowle Society’s tree [kindly donated from a local garden by the Lewis family] is already up, as are the Christmas lights on the High Street. These will be switched on at a suitable time and date.  We are not saying when to avoid crowds gathering, sorry.
