Following a review by the Boundary Commission which aimed to balance the number of electors per Councillor, it is proposed that small changes be made to Knowle Ward. It would retain three Councillors and there would be some changes in the area covered:-
Dorridge & Hockley Heath Ward is virtually unchanged except for taking a small number of properties in Norton Green Lane and Darley Green area from Knowle.
Knowle Ward loses those properties and also properties along and on roads north of the M42 but south of the river Blythe and west of Henwood Lane (ie on Warwick Road, Oldway Drive, Pool Meadow Close, Gentleshaw Lane west of the bypass and in Ravenshaw and Barston Lane east of the bypass.) These will now join Silhill Ward.
Knowle gains those properties within the boundary of Barston Parish Council, ie in and around Barston, Eastcote and Walsal End.
The changes will come into effect once approved by the Government.
