The Airport is a diversionary airfield for RAF Brize Norton and sometimes hosts RAF aircraft. Due to issues with the runway at Brize Norton, it will be hosting two Airbus A400M aircraft which will be arriving and overnighting on Monday 19 before flying a series of domestic sorties between 08:00 and 22:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. They will arrive overnight on Thursday and depart at a time still to be confirmed on Friday 23. This aircraft is not especially noisy and is not scheduled to be operating during the night period.
