A NEW FUTURE FOR ARDEN IN DOUBT

  • Planning

Solihull Council has received a letter from the Local Plan Inspectors following the latest hearing sessions, held in July.  One of these is the housing capacity proposed at the NEC.  The Inspectors have indicated the capacity should be reduced to 500 homes for the Plan purposes, which means that more houses have to go on the other sites

The second issue relates to the Knowle Triangle site (KN2). The Inspectors have agreed the site is an appropriate allocation, but that it should not be dependent on a new Arden Academy. In other words Arden would not get a new site, all the land would be used for housing, possibly including the extra from the NEC site.

The meeting on 12th Sept is run by the KDBH Forum, not Knowle Society, although we support the Forum in the need for as many people as possible to attend.
