DESIGN A TREE OF LIFE

MESSAGE FROM LOVESOLIHULL
Design your own Tree of Hope! – Parents are you looking for a creative activity for your children to take part in that also links in with climate change and our environment?

We want to showcase Solihull’s community spirit and we are reaching out to children borough wide to design a ‘tree of hope’ that will be shared via social media across Solihull. Please see attached a beautiful painting by Bethan, aged 12, from Arden Academy. By communities working together we have seen and heard some amazing and inspiring stories, the country has been showing love and support for each other via  images of painted rainbows and we want to add to this by sharing our ‘trees of hope’ with each other. The tree can be drawn, painted, or made out of objects found in your garden- the more creative the better!

For each design received we will be offering a free tree whip for you and your family to plant either in their back garden, school land or within a designated council  area. If you are interested in receiving a tree whip then please send your name, email, postcode and contact details over to Love Solihull via email Lovesolihull@solihull.gov.uk

Designs can be shared via tagging Love Solihull on Twitter, Instagram @Lovesolihull (using our hashtag #PlantingourFuture) or via email. These will be shared with the community over the coming weeks- to hopefully brighten up people’s day and share hope, kindness and love in our community. Please also feel free to put your ‘tree of hope’ up in your front window alongside your rainbow!

Tree planting season runs from November-March so we will be in touch later on in the year if you do request a whip. Thank you for taking part and please feel free to share your ‘tree of hope’ far and wide!
