SOCIETY TALK MONDAY 19th MARCH 8pm KNOWLE VILLAGE HALL

This talk will offer some selected links between aspects of medicine and war, with particular focus on the ways in which society has come to remember those we have lost.
Extensive use will be made of illustrations, mainly photographs, and reference will be made to some forgotten heroes who perhaps deserve greater prominence.
In this year of the Armistice Centennial, the story will highlight events in our own community, and the efforts of the Society.
Many will remember Dr Stuart as one of our GPs.  He has long had an interest in this aspect of medicine.

THERE WILL ALSO BE A SMALL EXHIBITION OF THE DRAFT PLANS FOR THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE WAR MEMORIAL IN THE CHURCHYARD
