Society’s response to Draft Local Plan Proposals consultation

In response to the consultation by Solihull MBC on its Draft Local Plan Proposals, The Knowle Society has today (17 Feb 2017) made its views known to the Council through the attached document. As with such consultations, response times are quite constrained; however the subject has immense implications for Knowle and a response from the Society is both imperative and expected.

Boxing Day Walk

Boxing Day Walk

Details
Date:

Monday, 26 December 2016 – 11:00am

Led by Leighton Jones 077111 512181.
The traditional post-Christmas walk takes place again this year, so why not stretch your legs on a gentle 3 mile walk with mulled wine and mince pies at the end – as if you needed more to eat!

Starts from the Guild House prompt at 11am – ALL welcome, so bring the family & guests. No dogs please, they struggle with the stiles and fall in the canal. Weather guaranteed; I don’t know what it’ll be, but there will be weather! The walk takes place anyway.

Report:

What a day for a walk in the country. Sunshine, good company and mulled wine and mince pies at the end, what more could we have asked? A good crowd of about 80 met to enjoy some (very) fresh air and walk off a little of the Christmas excess in the traditional Boxing Day walk.
