Successful quiz evening
Submitted by Editor on 18 October 2012 - 7:59am

Our 2012 social event was a Quiz with a Fish & Chip supper held on 15 October at Knowle Village Hall.
Seventy-two people in 12 teams participated, answering a range of questions on interesting & diverse topics, including a round based on our booklet “50 Years of Knowle Society”!! The competition was closely contested, resulting in a win for the Chantry Heathers.
A big Thank You to Quizmaster Steve for providing an entertaining but instructive evening.
Christmas Lights switch-on in Knowle
Submitted by Editor on 16 October 2012 - 10:31amThis popular annual event is being held on Monday 26th November at the usual time of around 4.15-4.30 (we can never be quite sure exactly when Father Christmas will arrive as travel conditions in the Arctic can be quite severe at times). Because he is going to be so busy (it seems that a lot more children have been really well-behaved this year) he has asked us to bring it forward by one week from the date advertised in the Society's green Programme Card. Of course we were happy to oblige and the traders are making a special effort to put up the lights in good time.
