Six members of the Society enjoyed a rewarding visit when the Year 6 (final year) children displayed a lively interest and were able to relate what they saw to their own knowledge of the village. The project forms part of the National Curriculum for Knowle's Year 6 children. This year the Society took its exhibition to the school instead of the school coming to the library, whilst the Library is closed temporarily. The Local History Centre has prepared a set of pictures which combined with material from the Society's new Guide to Knowle provides a broad view of Knowle to encourage an interest in the village in which the children live. The visit is followed later by a question and answer session in open forum with the children. The Knowle Society is very pleased to be helping in this way with the local primary school.
