KNOWLE HISTORY CENTRE AND ARCHIVE

Do you have an interest in the history of your village, or wish to meet local people?  Did you know that the Society are the keepers of Knowle Archives, with a huge collection of documents and items, including over 2000 photographs, mainly of the village and village people, the first one dating back to 1857.

If you would like to know more about the history of your village, or perhaps have a query about a house you’ve bought, or need help maybe with your family history, please come and see us any Saturday morning 10am – 12.30pm and perhaps you might feel you would like to find out more about being a volunteer.

Volunteers are always needed to help out in the Local History Centre upstairs in Knowle Library, only one Saturday a month.  Why not give it a try, you’ll get all the help you need.

Alternatively, telephone Janet on 01564 779040 to learn more about what is involved.
